Hello,
As adoptive parents, we admire your courage in searching for an adoptive family for your baby. We would like to tell you about ourselves and our desire to welcome another child into our hearts and home. About Us
We truly enjoy being together and have built a strong marriage based on laughter, respect, and openness. Together, we make a great team. We are excited about growing our family again through adoption!

We like to get outside and particularly enjoy hiking—some of our favorite hikes have been in Maine, California, and Scotland. We often take long family walks around our neighborhood collecting leaves, rocks, and sticks. We love to travel together. Now we seek out parks and playgrounds in addition to museums and interesting architecture.

Working to make the world a better place is an ideal that is very important to us. We both have chosen careers that allow us to work on issues we care deeply about—Anne works in affordable housing and Nick works on environmental issues.

About Nick
I treasure Nick for his creativity, intelligence, and integrity. He is caring and calm, and keeps me laughing with his witty comments and puns. I admire that he lives what he believes, in particular, his commitment to the environment. He is a terrific father—affectionate and silly, yet always taking time to teach our daughter something new, and show her she can do more than she thinks she can. His deep love and concern as a father is clear.

About Anne
I was captivated with Anne upon first meeting her. She was genuine, honest, curious, and I loved her smile and her laugh. I fell in love with her because she is the most loving and compassionate person that I know. She is always searching for ways to be a better person, and she inspires me to do the same. Anne is fun to be with, and I enjoy hanging out with her. She is a wonderful and caring mother, and can't wait to meet our second child!

Elizabeth
We were thrilled to bring Elizabeth home when she was 3 weeks old. Parenting is the most fun, challenging, joyful experience of our lives! At 5 years old, Elizabeth is bright and outgoing, and seems to charm everyone she meets. She keeps us very busy—reading together, visiting playgrounds, singing, creating art projects, and building with Tinkertoys. She is helpful, funny, and will make a great big sister.

We have an on-going relationship with Elizabeth's birth mom and grandfather. It has been a very positive experience for everyone. We so appreciate that we are able to tell Elizabeth how deeply she is loved by her birthmother.

Our Family Life
As a family, our priorities are having fun, learning, and seeking out new experiences. While we enjoy doing many things together as a family, we also have our own interests as parents. Anne and Elizabeth enjoy visits to the library, swimming, and baking. Nick and Elizabeth enjoy playing outside, building things together, and exploring nature and science.

As parents, we focus on providing unconditional love, stability, and a home life that will allow our children to grow up to be happy, independent, and confident. Our families are very important to us, and we see them often. We like to gather for dinners, holidays, vacations, and sometimes travel together.

Our Values
Being kind, generous, respectful, and tolerant are our core values. Education, travel, and helping others are also important to us, and are woven into our family life. We believe that education (in or out of the classroom) is very important to success in life. The chance to learn is one of the reasons that we enjoy traveling, because exploring new places is fun and teaches us about ourselves and the world we live in. We look forward to traveling together as a family.
