Brad & Deborah
Aloha,
Thank you for choosing to read our profile. We hope that it gives you insight into who we are. We pray for peace and guidance in the decision that you make for your baby; we are honored and humbled to be considered as parents for the precious life you carry. A loving home, a spiritual foundation and a commitment to always strive to do our best is what we have to give your child.
About Brad
I was named Everett at birth but am known to most as Brad. I was born into a military family, as the fourth of six children. I love people and have always made friends easily. I'm a happy go lucky person, who's always smiling. I work as a manager in a respiratory department in a large hospital. I enjoy all sports, photography, traveling and learning new things. Children take to me quickly (maybe they sense that I'm a kid at heart). I work with the teens at our church. I'm passionate about helping teens reach their full potential in life.
About Deborah
I'm the youngest of three children, raised primarily by my mother as a single parent. My stepfather was a part of my life for ten years and instilled tremendous values in me before his death. I grew up with much encouragement and support. After nursing school, I joined the Army. I work part time as a diabetes education nurse. My hobbies are writing, acting, traveling and planning parties. I work in the drama department at our church with children, teens and adults. I love making people feel appreciated and special (which is probably why children are drawn to me).
Our Life Together
We met while we were both in the Army, stationed in Hawaii. We have been out of the Army for many years and have made Hawaii our home. Before we got married, we discussed having children...we've always wanted them. However, our journey took us down the path of infertility. Although our bodies have not cooperated with having children, we still desire very much to be parents! We have always wanted to adopt, and we long to share our love, hopes, and dreams with a child.
Deborah on Brad as a father: Brad will be a wonderful father! He is so kind and giving. Just watching him interact with our nieces, nephews and every child he meets warms my heart. He is an excellent teacher; taking the time to explain in words that the children can understand. I'm told that parenting requires much patience, and Brad has much of it to give. I'm so excited to see him flourish as a father.
Brad on Deborah as a mother: Deborah definitely has that nurturing aspect of a good mother. I see it not only in her interaction with our nieces and nephews but also in her relationships with her friends (they all look to her for that maternal comfort and strength). Yes, my wife will be an excellent mother.
Our Values, Our Foundation
Our core values are honesty, respect, accountability and giving unconditional love. When we are around children we speak greatness into their lives; helping them to recognize the gifts and talents they have been given by God. We value family and friends and experience great support from both.
Our family and friends know that we love children and have asked us to be Godparents to three children. It is our goal to love and empower your child to be the best they can be. We believe we have much wisdom and experiences to share with a child and are thrilled about the prospect of being parents! We would share the joys of traveling with a child, as it is exciting to see the world through the eyes of a child.
We understand and support the desire for birth-parents to stay connected to their child through letters and photos; to have that ongoing reassurance that they chose a good family to raise their child. We also believe it is in the child's best interest to know their heritage and to know that the decision for adoption was made out of love. Whatever you decide, we are glad that you have made such a brave and honorable choice...adoption.
