Sincere Thanks.... We are Brian and Monica and along with Brian's son Drew, we thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We have already been blessed with 8 adopted nieces, nephews & cousins and hope that after reading about our family, our life and our dreams you will consider us as adoptive parents.

About us... We first met in 8th grade and over the years our friendship grew into love for each other. We have been married for 7 years and have a wonderful life filled with love, laughter, respect and an abundance of family and friends.

We live in a suburb south of Minneapolis, which is also the city we both grew up in. Monica works as a Sales Representative for a local airline. Brian works as a Quality Engineer for a water technologies company. Family is important to us so we try to make time to spend with grandparents and extended family. We attend a local church and believe faith is the foundation of a happy family and healthy relationships and we will teach our children the same.

Monica feels Brian is... an all around great guy! "What first attracted me to Brian in 8th grade was his smile and laugh. What made me fall in love with him was his sense of humor, family values, and his awesome parenting abilities with his son, Drew. He is warm, affectionate and a good teacher. He helps Drew learn and understand the importance of everything from school and sports, to self-respect and appreciation for what life has to offer. As a husband he is generous, funny and adventurous. He loves to try new things from interesting food to traveling to unusual destinations.

When Brian is not cooking or entertaining, he enjoys working on home improvement projects and gardening. He grows his own tomatoes, and peppers to make fresh salsa for family and friends in the fall. I am proud of my husband and who he is. Family and friends have said that he is the kind of guy who will always be there when they need him. I know that's true and am lucky to have him in my life."

Brian thinks Monica is... "the best friend I could ever have. As Monica mentioned, we've known each other for a long time and it was great to rekindle that friendship and have it grow into a wonderful marriage. Monica is a very outgoing, social person and truly values her personal relationships. When not with friends or family she enjoys baking, reading for pleasure, gardening, photography and crafts.

Monica is also a sports fan, aside from attending all of Drew's games she also golfs in a woman's league. I love that she is a very warm, patient, and thoughtful person with a great sense of humor and strong family values. Simply put, she is the best...wife, step-mom, and friend. I love her and can't wait to grow our family with her."

Big brother... is Drew. He is Brian's 14-year-old son from his first marriage and lives with his mother about 6 miles away. He is with us at least 3 days a week either after school, for dinner or will spend the weekend with us. He also joins us for holidays and other important family events. Drew is very excited about the idea of being a big brother and cannot wait to have a sibling.

He is patient, nurturing, kind, very social and fun. He is anxious to teach his new brother or sister how to play games, read books, and throw a baseball, build a train track or anything with Lego's. School and sports are his interests and he excels at both.

Our home... is filled with laughter. We try not to take life too seriously and make each other laugh daily. Holiday traditions are important to us too. We typically host the holiday parties and have fun decorating our home for Christmas, birthday parties & Halloween. We live only a few blocks from the schools we both attended when we were young and near parks, family, friends, and church.

Three years ago we had the opportunity to buy Brian's childhood home and have enjoyed remodeling while dreaming of raising a third generation there. Our two-level home is located on a quiet cul-du-sac with lots of room to play both indoors and out. It has a sunny porch that overlooks the big tree lined backyard where we play baseball, football, have bon fires and entertain our family and friends.

Our life... is fun. Our favorite thing to do is travel. We have been to Europe a few times and around the U.S. We especially like traveling to theme parks and baseball stadiums. We have family and friends around the U.S and plan annual trips to see them as well. Sports and sporting events also fill our days. Brian has enjoyed coaching Drew's baseball, football and hockey teams and when we are not involved in Drew's sports we enjoy attending Gopher hockey and football games, Twins or Wild games. All three of us enjoy golfing too and frequently golf at a course a few blocks away.

When time allows we also like biking along the river paths, skiing at resorts around the Midwest, going to movies (action, adventure or comedy) or the theatre to see Broadway productions. Additionally, we love entertaining, especially summer BBQs, holiday parties and dinner parties with family and friends. Our life is also blessed with a sweet 2-year-old dog named Smokey. He is an extremely friendly and gentle Collie who is constantly wagging his tail, loves to chase squirrels and snuggling.

Our dream... is to raise a child together and grow our family through adoption. Though we lead a happy and rewarding life we want more and anxiously await the day we can welcome another child into our lives. We believe adoption is a wonderful way to share the blessings of a child and is the greatest gift we could ever receive.

We can only imagine you are making a difficult life choice and admire you for your decision to consider adoption. We hope that our life is what you picture for your child and would welcome the opportunity to meet with you. Please contact us at 952-831-6006 or send a note to . We sincerely hope to meet you soon.

Thank you for considering our family .......Brian, Monica & Drew
