Hello there!

We've been thinking about you and your little one for a long time, and we can't wait to meet you! Thank you for taking the time to read our letter. We welcome an open, ongoing relationship with you and will always consider you a part of the family, if you wish. Please know that your baby will be very much loved and cherished.

We Believe...
We've both always known that we want to be Moms! We met just over ten years ago after friends at church introduced us. We believe in the importance of friendship, treating others the way you want to be treated, the dignity of every person, advocating for those who cannot do so for themselves, and the values of education, love, faith and family. We are surrounded by our large families and supported by many dear, life-long friends.We really do believe that it "takes a village" to raise a child and we feel lucky to be embraced and supported.

Meet Cheryl:
Cheryl is loving, kind, witty and intelligent. She goes out of her way to be there for family, friends, animals and strangers. Many an extra pet has made it in to our home from one of her "rescues". She loves to spend time outside camping, paddling in the Boundary Waters, or working in the garden. She cannot wait to be a Mom. Her work as a child and family therapist offers her opportunities to support children as they work to understand themselves and their families. She will be the Mom who soothes hurt feelings, creates silly songs and games, points out the beauty of an ordinary summer day, and who reminds them to be their best, but not take life too seriously.

Meet Anne Marie:
Anne Marie is a one hundred percent Irish gal who loves to laugh. She always finds the good in people, easily falls in love with pets, children and elders, strongly supports those she loves, cries over little things on television and loves deeply. She dreams of being a Mom. Her work in the medical field suits her nurturing, caring personality. Anne Marie will be the Mom who takes care of bumps, bruises and upset tummies, cooks great meals, and who will delight in introducing them to their next favorite song, book or adventure.

Friends and Family
Extended family members and friends are so excited to welcome another child into all of our lives. We are blessed with large, involved families and deep, goofy, loving friendships. We are surrounded by the diversity and multi-cultural life that makes up our urban community and groups of friends. Many of the children in our lives want you to know that they would "vote" for us to be parents! Our pets, however, are divided on the issue, with three yeas and one nay.

We Hope...
