Hello,
We are extremely grateful you are considering us in your search for a loving home for your child and thank you for taking the time to read our letter. Our hearts go out to you as you make what is likely a difficult decision.

There is no doubt in our minds that planning the future of your child is one of the most selfless and loving decisions a mother can make. We are excited about pursuing an open adoption to the degree in which you feel comfortable. We hope that by reading our letter, your courage, hope, trust and tremendous love for your baby will find your fulfillment in us.

Who are we?
We are a happily married couple of 4½ years, who are excited to begin building our family through adoption. While we have faced difficulties conceiving a child, our strong belief in the value of every human life coupled with the amazing addition of our two adopted nieces, cemented our desire to build our family though adoption! David works in sales with a large Twin Cities company. Carla is employed as a pharmacist serving the Native American population. We both enjoy our jobs, but are so ready to become Mom and Dad!

Adoption runs in the family!
We have been blessed with having 5 nieces and 2 nephews, two of which are adopted. Rachel and Alaina came into our lives through the miracle of adoption 6 years ago and have blessed our families beyond measure. Adoption just works well with both of our families. All family members have embraced the idea of adoption and eagerly anticipate the family growing even larger through this beautiful gift!

Our Faith and Godchildren
We are members of a Catholic Church and attend Mass on a regular basis. Because we were both raised in Catholic families, we look forward to sharing our faith with future children and hope to be a strong advocate of living a good Christian life.

Between the two of us, we have been chosen to be godparents to 7 different children in our lives! It is such an honor to be chosen as godparents, and we take our responsibilities very seriously by visiting with our godchildren frequently and taking them on fun excursions!

About David (from Carla)
David is an intelligent, hard working, and good hearted man. He has been a remarkable husband and I am confident he will be just as outstanding of a Father. His sense of humor always results in a fun and relaxed social environment. Seeing David's playful and fun side with my nieces and nephews has confirmed with me that he will make a wonderful father. He always has a way of making them laugh! David understands the importance of strong family values and will be a stable father figure to our children.

About Carla (from David)
Carla is the most caring, unselfish and compassionate person I have ever met. A wonderful listener and friend, she is also a very hard worker who is motivated to succeed at everything she attempts. I am in awe by her patience and care when interacting with our nieces and nephews. She has amazing relationships with all of the children in our lives. Our oldest niece Rachel often calls Carla on her cell phone to tell her about her day. I know Carla will be an incredible Mother and example for our children.

Family, Friends and Fun
David has a younger brother, and Carla has an older brother and sister. We have close relationships with all our family members and enjoy fun times together, including a semi-annual trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. It is a great time for all! Our friends are also an important part of our lives, with whom we enjoy going out to dinner, shopping, and golfing. We are an energetic couple who love the outdoors and enjoy many different activities including riding our bikes, photography, and running.

We also enjoy spending time on the numerous lakes in the area whether it is kayaking, boating or just relaxing by the lakeshore. We enjoy so many aspects of the Twin Cities and are glad to call Minneapolis our home. However, we also LOVE to travel! We have had the good fortune to travel throughout the world: Italy, Greece, Hong Kong, Croatia, Canada, and Belize. We look forward to sharing our travel experiences and first-hand knowledge of other cultures with our children.
