Thank you for taking time to get to know us. We are happy that you have included adoption in your plan. As you begin what must be a challenging journey, please know that our thoughts are with you and we wish you luck and peace now and in the future.

We hope you find the family that is right for you—regardless of whether it is ours or another family. Adoption is the right decision for us and we are very excited about the opportunity to love, nurture, and parent a child.

Doug
Doug is a kind, thoughtful person who is on a never-ending search for knowledge. He loves to read and has a unique combination of "book" knowledge and common sense. He's a talented handyman and uses many of those skills in his home improvement hobby. He loves spending time with our families and friends, especially our nieces and nephews. With a college education, Doug has built his own business as a project manager. His hobbies are hiking, snowshoeing, home improvement, and reading. He can't wait to be a dad!

Deanna
Deanna enjoys movies, hiking, snowshoeing, and crafts. Patient with our nieces and nephews, she makes time to learn what is important to each of them and incorporate them into our lives. Deanna takes vacation time each year to devote to special days and trips with our nieces and nephews. Her first thoughts are often of activities and ways to get family and friends together. She is quick to help, not afraid to roll-up her sleeves and take the lead on home improvement projects. Deanna has a college education and has built a successful career as an IT manager. She loves to travel to new places and go exploring. She will be a great mom! Doug & Deanna

Together
We met in college and worked at the same local movie theater. As best friends, we make each other laugh, give each other strength, and we are thrilled to bring a child into our lives. Our relationship is based on respect, honesty, integrity, love, and laughter. Education and the pursuit of learning are also important to us. We would love to share our stability, love, and laughter with a child!

At Home
Our home, in a southern suburb near the Mall of America, is a gathering place for family events, and we always have fun! We try to make everyone feel welcome, relaxed, and cared for - and we look forward to having our families visit. Our neighborhood is near schools, medical/dental offices, and great parks. We have our eye on a tree out back that would be perfect for a tree house. Our parenting plan is to have one of us at home full-time with our child until school age.
