We've come to understand that adoption is the act of raising a child that has two sets of parents. It is our hope to have an open relationship with you for years to come, if you wish. We look forward to being Daddy and Papa!

About Us
Our story began in two farm communities. Jeremy's home in northwestern Minnesota is famous for sugar beets, and Sam's early childhood was spent on Prince Edward Island. We both attended Macalester College, and met years later at a reunion. After three years of dating and building our life together we were married in the fall of 2009 in Minneapolis among family and friends. It was a wonderful day filled with love and support that added to the strength and foundation of our relationship.

Life Together
Together, we love visiting with our loving friends and families, snowboarding in the winter, canoeing in the summer, and exploring art, music and theater. Sam is constantly learning and seems to have an endless ability to study language and visual art. Jeremy has become very involved in the Jewish community and our local Temple. As parents we can't wait to share our curiosity for the world with the child we raise as a part of our family. We look forward to all that we will learn and experience together as a family

About Jeremy
Sam says Jeremy is an excellent listener, has a warm heart, and demonstrates an exceptional capacity for forgiveness. He has a peaceful presence and a quick smile. Jeremy has looked forward to being a father for many years. Sam feels lucky to have such a wonderful husband and can't wait to raise a family with him.

Jeremy loves music and is passionate about healing our world. Any child would be fortunate to have him for a father! As a lifelong Minnesotan, Jeremy works for a local elected official. His co-workers are excited for us to be new parents.

About Sam
Jeremy often says that "no moss grows on Sam" because he is always moving, always busy. Sam is very creative and loves to learn. Helping other people motivates Sam, which is also one of the reasons he is a terrific family medicine physician. He loves his work and feels honored by the responsibility of taking care of others.

As someone who loves to travel, Sam also enjoys the outdoors and once worked as a nature camp guide. He is immensely caring, thoughtful, and always up for an adventure. Sam is simply bursting with energy and enthusiasm and will be the best, most engaged, loving father a child could have!

Our Family
Family is an important focus in our lives. We are very fortunate to have large and loving families. We look forward to family visits many times throughout the year. We can't wait to raise a child in our loving home in Minneapolis, which includes a slightly needy but exceedingly loving dog and a less needy, but very hungry cat with an equal capacity for love.
