Thank you for taking the time to read our letter. We can't even imagine how difficult this decision must be for you, and we would love to be there for you. Unable to have biological children, we have always known that we would have to find alternative routes to become parents. It wasn't such a leap for us as Lisa has a sister by adoption. Our ten year marriage is built on a foundation of faith, trust and love. We are more than ready to start a family and can't wait to become parents! We will offer a child unconditional love and respect throughout his or her entire life. As people of faith, we know that God has his hand in this adoption and he has a plan for us. About us as a couple: Both of us enjoy spending time outdoors, walking our dogs and playing with them at the dog park. We like being around friends and family, playing mini golf, bowling, water parks and traveling. Our family and friends are very excited for us to adopt a child, and havealready been giving us much advice. We both come from close knit families and get together with them frequently, as they live nearby. We have two lovable and lazy cats named Lily and Autumn, and two dogs, Mickey and Daisy. Both Lisa through Jerry's eyes: Lisa works as a nurse and loves taking care of others. She is an out-going person who embraces life to the fullest. Lisa is very close with her entire family but especially her three sisters. Lisa loves being a big sister. Once a year the girls take a road trip and have an amazing time together. Some of her hobbies are horseback riding, reading, working out, swimming, journaling, listening to music, and going to church. Lisa has a lot of experience with children, because while she was growing up her mom ran a home day-care. Lisa spent almost every day helping her mother care for the children. Lisa is the most loving and patient person I have ever known, and I know she will be a great mother. Jerry through Lisa's eyes: Jerry is a kind, thoughtful, caring and giving man who is reliable and always there when you need him. He works as a manager in a bowling alley, and really enjoys working with families. Quiet at first, it never takes him long to start opening up. Jerry has one sister that he has a close relationship with. We get together with her quite often. Some of the things Jerry enjoys are bowling, playing softball, working out and playing golf. Jerry bowls in a league with two of his best friends; he has also won bowling tournaments. I know Jerry is going to be an excellent Father because he has such a compassionate and loving spirit! Our home: We live in a quiet, family friendly urban neighborhood. We know all of our neighbors, and we all look after each other. There are a lot of children in our neighborhood, and we live within walking distance from parks and a lake. Our goals as parents: We are going to be very involved parents and will cherish every moment with our child. We will always put the needs of our child before our own. We will raise our child with Christian morals and will provide every resource possible to keep him or her healthy, happy and fulfilled.
