Thank you for taking the time to consider us as a family for your child. We realize that this must be a very difficult time for you. Hopefully this letter will help you to learn more about our family, activities we participate in and the values that guide us. We are also looking forward to learning more about you. We cannot wait to hear from you. About Us We have been married for fifteen years and have always known that children would be an important part of our lives. Although we are extremely grateful that God has blessed us with two incredible daughters, we have been unable to have more children. We didn't want to give up on our dream of having more children, so we decided that adoption would be a wonderful way to expand our family. As parents experienced with raising two children, we would be ecstatic to welcome your child into our family. Our Home Our home is located on ten acres in a rural community. We love our land because we have so much space to do many activities with our family, and yet we still have neighbors. We have a swimming pool, which we spend much of our summers in, along with our family and friends. In the winter, we enjoy relaxing in our hot tub. Our land allows us to drive our four-wheelers, play on the swing set, build sand castles in the sand box, and relax by a cozy fire roasting marshmallows and hot dogs. It is important to us that our children enjoy their home and want to have their friends over. We take comfort in knowing where they are and whom they are playing with. We also have a dog, Cubby, who is a constant companion to our daughters. Deb (as told by Joe) Deb grew up in a small rural community where everyone knew each other. She has always loved children and would baby-sit quite a bit when she was growing up. It is no surprise that Deb is now a teacher. She is very dedicated to her job and at the same time to our family. She loves the flexibility her jobgives her to be able to spend time with our family. Deb likes to read and enjoys watching and playing many different sports. But, what she really enjoys more than playing herself, is watching our children participate in whatever sport or activity they are interested in. It gives me great pleasure to watch her with our daughters, whether it is reading a book Joe (as told by Deb) Joe grew up in a large family. He has three brothers and three sisters. He enjoys the outdoors hunting and fishing. He has many fond memories from when he was younger of the hunting and fishing trips he enjoyed with his father and brothers. Joe now takes the girls and me fishing. He is so patient with us. He puts our bait on the hook and he helps us take our fish off when we catch one. He doesn't complain that he spends most of his time just helping us. Joe also enjoys relaxing by our pool on a warm, sunny day with the girls and me. He is very proud to be a "daddy." He is also a very loving husband. All of our friends and family adore Joe, especially the kids, because Joe is so much fun to be around. He will wrestle with them or he will be the first one outside chasing them around the yard. All you hear is children giggling, the dog barking and everyone running around having a good time. Ashley & Sarah Ashley is a thirteen-year-old eighth grader and Sarah is a ten-year-old fifth grader. They also attend Sunday school regularly at our church. They are both very happy, active and compassionate children. They enjoy many activities such as: reading, swimming, dance, soccer, tennis, softball and wrestling with dad. They love playing with other children, especially their twin four-year-old cousins, Brock and Jamie. Both girls can hardly wait to become big sisters!
