Jonathan & Becky

Hello!

We are excited to welcome a baby into our family! Our chocolate Lab, Cody, can't wait to have a kid in the house...even if it means having his tail pulled for the next few years!

We have always dreamed of adopting. Becky learned at a young age that she would be unable to become pregnant, and adoption has felt right to us from the beginning. Although adoption has been our plan for years, we know that it has not been yours. Our hearts go out to you as you choose what is right for you and your baby.

Becky says, "Jonathan is...

• Caring. He makes homemade chicken noodle soup for me when I'm sick.
• Playful and fun-loving. Jonathan can juggle and even balance dining room chairs on his nose! He'll be the coolest Daddy on the block!
• Patient. Do you have a computer crisis? Technology trouble? Jonathan's your man! Not only will he fix it, but he will teach you how to fix it. If you don't understand the first time, he helps until you do.
• Selfless. Jonathan and I agree that nothing beats a Girl Scout cookie. But when there's only one left in the box, Jonathan saves it for me.
• Thoughtful. Jonathan appreciates the little things. He thanks me for shoveling the front steps, getting a stain out of his shirt, and filling the dog's water bowl.
• Easygoing. He never complains about my off-key singing. I am blessed with a husband who loves and accepts me—screechy singing voice and all!"

Jonathan says, Becky is...

• Supportive. She always laughs at my jokes... whether they are funny or not.
• Sweet. Becky surprises me with special meals, just because she loves me.
• Committed. Becky is a devoted "doggy-momma." She plays with Cody at the dog park every day—rain or shine.
• Adventurous. She embraces life and loves to explore new places. Becky introduced me to camping, and we can't wait to share this with our child.
• Dependable. When I forget something at home, it never fails that Becky has it in her purse.
• Affectionate. Becky has an infinite supply of hugs and kisses to give.
  

Life with Jonathan & Becky

Family
We treasure the time we spend with family. Jonathan's mother lives nearby, and she can't wait to care for our child while we are working! Becky's family lives near Lake Superior and we visit them often. Whether we are roasting marshmallows at the lake or snowshoeing through a winter wonderland, time always passes too quickly! Other family members live throughout the country, providing us with many opportunities for fun-filled road trips!

Friends
Close friends have shared in our most memorable moments: Watching northern lights fill the sky on our wedding night, sledding on New Year's Eve, painting our first home, graduating from college, and a weekend camping trip in the pouring rain! Many of our friends have begun adding to their families and we look forward to watching our children grow up together. We see many slumber parties and backyard baseball games in our future!

Home Sweet Home
We live in a family-friendly suburban neighborhood that offers outdoor movies, hiking trails, beaches, playgrounds, and an old-fashioned soda fountain! Because Becky is a teacher, she and our child will spend summer days together, enjoying everything our area has to offer!

A few of our favorite things:

• Waffles on a lazy Saturday morning
• A full house! Whether it's Christmas, the Super Bowl, or just a gorgeous summer day...we grab every opportunity to bring people we love into our home.
• Endless games of fetch with our puppy
• Bonfires at Becky's parents' cabin on Lake Superior
• Cheering on our Minnesota sports teams, whether at the stadium or home in our pajamas
• Sharing our days at the dinner table
• Canoeing in the Boundary Waters, waiting for the perfect fish to bite
