Adoption in Our Lives You may wonder what it would be like for a child to have two dads. But think about it this way ' you will be his or her only mom, and two dads are better than one! Adoption has meaning in our lives. Bobby has a younger adopted brother, an uncle who was adopted, and many close friends who have adopted or are adopted themselves. We have learned a lot throughout these experiences. Adoption seems natural for us and we are thrilled to become parents. About Us Our story began in Chicago when we were introduced by friends in the summer of 2001. As our relationship grew, we learned that we shared a love for travel, life and fun. In 2003, we moved to Minneapolis to be closer to family. Our commitment ceremony and reception brought tears of joy and laughter, as we celebrated with 215 close family and friends. Now, we are embarking on another chapter of our lives by starting a family. Our Values Together We love spending time together and with each other's family. We are passionate about understanding and respecting different cultures. We are a bilingual and bi-cultural couple and have traveled to Australia, Asia, Europe, and Central America. We value athleticism & education. We want our children to grow up having all of the opportunities to a good education, to learn and enjoy life and to love and be loved. We look forward to fun outings at the zoo and playing games in our big yard. Together, we can't wait to become parents! About Kevin Kevin is the fifth out of seven children in his family that grew up in suburban St. Paul. He graduated from Purdue University in Civil Engineering. As a Project Manager at an engineering firm in Minneapolis, he is also an active volunteer and an avid cyclist. His other interests include: skiing, hockey, baseball, music and traveling with family. Kevin is passionate about life and the environment. Bobby shares that Kevin is big hearted and would do anything for his family, friends and loved ones. Bobby is the fourth of five children and grew up in the Philippines. He and his family moved to Chicago in 1983. After high school, he joined the US Air Force, which earned him the distinguished Airman of the Year award and provided opportunities to travel in Europe, Asia and Latin America. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, and currently works in clinical research for a medical company in Minneapolis. He is also a triathlete, a voracious reader and loves to experiment with recipes while cooking. Kevin shares that Bobby is caring, quiet and intelligent and his best friend. Bobby believes in being honest, treating others with respect and has a natural ability to nurture children. Fun Facts about Bobby
Family, Friends & Home We are surrounded by close family, caring friends and wonderful neighbors. They are excited about us starting our own family and already talk about showering the baby with love and joining their play date schedule. We both come from large families that socialize frequently. Our children will have 3 grandparents, 10 aunts and uncles and 10 cousins! We're lucky to have Kevin's family in the Twin Cities area. While Bobby's family lives in San Francisco, we get to visit with them about three times a year. We live in the safe and diverse Uptown neighborhood of south Minneapolis. Our quiet, three-bedroom home with sizable wooded yard will be a great place to raise our children. We chose to live in our neighborhood because of its ethnic diversity, close proximity to the lakes and parks and great school district. Thank You!
