Hello from Nancy and John!

We would first like to say how much we appreciate your reading our letter and getting to know us a little more. We admire the courage and love you are showing by considering adoption for your child. Our journey toward adopting a child began like so many other couples' – fraught with infertility. After talking to many other people who have adopted their children, we are very excited that we have the opportunity to grow as a family through adoption. We feel it is important for our child to experience the same love and fun we experienced. We have so much love in our hearts and can't wait to share it with a child.

About Us~
John grew up on the east side of St. Paul and Nancy grew up in a small town in Iowa. We both work at the same company, but our paths didn't cross until a co-worker set us up on a blind date. We soon found out we shared many of the same hopes and dreams and were married the following year. We have been happily married for eight years and have made a life long commitment to each other. John has one brother and Nancy has four brothers. Neither have any sisters. Our family and friends are very important to us both. Celebrations and get-togethers include relatives and friends from Iowa, Wisconsin and the Twin Cities area. We both devote our whole hearts into everything we do. We value honesty and unity in relationships. We try to always make those around us feel appreciated, loved, and cared for. We have a very strong, committed relationship, one that is built on love and mutual respect. We have a lot of fun together -- going to ball games for the Twins and Vikings, the movies, attending concerts and ballgames for our nephews and niece, or just being with friends. Our personalities go together very well and we definitely make each other smile!

About John~
When I met John, I knew he was the guy for me. He is easy to talk to, has many of the same interests, and is fun to be around. His easy-going attitude and quick wit make him enjoyable to be around. He always makes me laugh and loves trying to make me laugh! John is devoted to his activities and the organizations that he is a member of. He holds various offices for the organizations and has played drums for various bands throughout the years. He currently volunteers for St. Paul Police Band. John is a caring and devoted husband and friend. John's devotion and support is also shown by his unwavering support of the Vikings throughout his many years as a season ticket holder. John graduated from St. Thomas College. He is currently a team lead in the computer field and loves playing with various tech toys. John enjoys spending time with friends and family and always wants to help others. John is always there to help his friends and relatives with their technology related problems or with their projects. John will make a great father since he is very devoted to those around him and treats everyone with respect and admiration. He is thoughtful and makes everyone feel special.

About Nancy~
It didn't take long to know that Nancy was the one that I was going to marry. Nancy is a thoughtful and loving wife. She enjoys many hobbies such as sports, music, gardening and reading. Nancy plays the piano and trumpet and also is a member of the St. Paul Police Band. Quality is important in her home life as well as her professional life. Nancy graduated from Concordia University in St. Paul and currently is a product tester for online products. Nancy enjoys a flexible work schedule, which allows her the freedom to enjoy her hobbies and devote time to friends and family. I know Nancy will make a great mom! She always shares her kindness and love of fun with friends and family. She adores children. It is obvious when you see her around her niece and nephews, as well as with children of our friends. She dreams about when she can do many things with our child.

Our home and neighborhood~
We live in a comfortable and spacious two-story house in a growing suburb of St. Paul. We have a large backyard with lots of room to run and play. Our neighborhood is very family oriented with many young families and children so there are many opportunities for playmates. Our community offers many educational and recreational opportunities for children and is a wonderful place to raise a family. We look forward to spending time with our child, while building happy memories as a family and as a part of the community.

Our lives together and with our families~
We dream of all the fun things that we will do and the places we will go with our child. We both love to travel and spend time with our families. We have enjoyed vacations in Disney World, Washington, D.C., California, Texas, and Alaska. We remain close to our families by visiting as often as possible, e-mailing regularly and weekly phone calls. We also love to gather for family and holiday celebrations, especially for birthdays, ballgames, Easter egg hunts, carving pumpkins and trick or treating, the children's church pageants at Christmas and of course, Christmas dinner and opening of presents. There is always fun and memories in the making. We are incredibly lucky to be surrounded by an amazing network of supportive family members and friends who share our excitement of adopting a child. We can assure you that your child will always be surrounded by a family that loves and adores him/her. Everyone is excited to welcome a new member to the family!

Our offer to your child~
Although we currently have no children, we have been blessed in many other ways and we would like to share our lives with your child. We will make sure that this child has a loving, safe home with devoted parents. We believe that every child deserves a warm and loving home with lots of hugs, bedtime stories, one on one quality time and attention from parents, friends and family. We look forward to everything - late night feedings, reading favorite books, answering endless questions and all of the firsts that come along with raising a child. We plan to be involved in the daily school and life activities and will expose the child to cultural and sports related events in order to help him/her develop their personality and to create confidence within them. We will provide a good education that will include the opportunity for college. Our goal as parents is to do all we can to help our child develop a strong sense of self and to offer the tools needed to make his/her dreams come true. We will build a strong sense of family by always being available for both the fun times like ball games, recitals and concerts along with the more trying times such as difficulty at school or with friends. We would like to share our faith by going to church as a family and setting an example of ethical living. We want to provide a wealth of experiences so that your child can see the best life has to offer, achieve his/her full potential, and be able to follow their dreams. You can be assured that your child will be well taken care of and loved beyond measure.
