Pam and Judy

We are so excited about opening our hearts and home to a child! Thank you for reading our letter. While this is probably a stressful process for you, we want you to know that you have our deep respect and gratitude. We hope this letter shows you our commitment to each other and the life we hope to provide a child.

Why We Want to Adopt:
Family has always been important to us, and we have always wanted to share our love with a child. When we met almost 10 years ago, we knew that having a family was the most important aspect of our future together. Three years ago, we were married in Canada. We are committed to adoption as the best option for us to have a child.

About Pam: (by Judy)
Pam amazes me everyday by her kindness and her willingness to help others. I am so proud of her and the volunteer work she does to help homeless and at-risk kids. I knew I wanted to parent with her the first time I saw her with kids. Her quiet-gentle spirit draws children to her. Pam loves to hike, golf, bowl, fish, and is an avid sports fan.

About Judy: (by Pam)
Judy has a huge heart for children. She volunteers by representing children in court. She loves to learn new things, play games and is always ready for a new adventure. Her latest hobby is Geocaching – treasure-hunting with a GPS unit. She also likes to golf, hike, cook, garden, and ride her scooter.

About Us:
We grew up in rural communities where we developed strong community values. Now we live in Minneapolis, a city rich in diversity, arts, culture, and nature. We are both blessed with wonderful jobs. Judy is a lawyer at a large law firm, and Pam is a marketing coordinator at a major company. We have worked hard to advance in our careers so that we can offer a child opportunities to realize their dreams – whatever they may be. We believe it is important to give back to the community and protect the environment. We compost, grow a vegetable garden, visit the farmers' market, and Judy even has a scooter she drives to work!

Our Commitment as Parents:
We believe childhood should be filled with fun, learning and exploring – we take seriously the commitment to ensure our child's life is rich with adventure while grounded in home and family. We are adventurous at heart - whether it be traveling or learning new things. We want to support our child in learning through such things as visiting science museums, Geocaching, and traveling. We believe your child would have a very fulfilling life with us.

Our Family and Friends:
We are both very close to our parents and have wonderful brothers who will be awesome uncles. We are blessed to have a multitude of close friends with diverse backgrounds and cannot wait until they can participate in enriching our child's life. We promise our child will never be short on people who love them!
