Letter to You

Hi, we are Patrick and Rebecca. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us better through this letter. We honor your courage and strength in making such a tough decision and we hope that you find comfort in knowing that adoption is already a part of our lives.

Patrick's sister is a birthmother who has made an adoption plan and some of Rebecca's cousins are adopted. Also, through our adoption journey, we have made friends with families that have been touched by adoption.

It will be our goal as parents to show our children that they are loved and that they have a cheerleader on their side even when life gets tough. Our hope is that they will know how much you love them and we will do our best to teach them about their culture (whatever that may be). It is important to us that we build a relationship with you and we will be open to discuss what that might be in the future.

About Us

We are in our early thirties and will be married for 13 years in February 2012. When we met, Patrick was serving in the Marine Corps. We were married five short months after we began dating and continue to incorporate "Responsible Spontaneity" in our lives. Patrick is a Customer Service Rep. and Rebecca is preparing our home for the baby.

Patrick was born and raised here in Minnesota. Rebecca was born in Texas, but grew up in California. The foundation of our family is God and we keep Him first in all that we do. We enjoy outdoor activities like camping and fishing. Our dog, Leila, loves to go along for the ride in whatever we do. However our cats, Boxer and Ali, like to stay home and sleep.

We like hanging at home with our fur kids, but we also enjoy traveling to Montana, Arizona, and California to visit Rebecca's family. Rebecca enjoys cooking and quilting and Patrick enjoys playing darts and hanging out with our neighbors and friends. We live in a beautiful townhouse community near Minneapolis, Minnesota, close to great parks and schools. We also live really close to Valleyfair Amusement Park. We like to enjoy our community and give back when we can. We are excited to expand our family, and we can't wait to enjoy these activities with a child.

"Rebecca is a very caring and selfless person. She is easy going and loves to have fun. She has always put the needs and wants of others before her own. Rebecca is the second oldest of 3 sisters and 1 of 27 grandchildren. She has experience as a nanny, which has taught her how children learn, and she can easily adapt how she teaches according to each child's ability. She knows how to be gentle, caring and understanding and is balanced with a strong faith in God. I know she will be a great mom. Rebecca is the love of my life, and I am blessed to have her as my wife." ~ Patrick
