We appreciate you taking time to get to know us, and we admire and thank you for considering adoption. Hopefully this letter will describe our family and we will feel like a great fit for your child. We look forward to the joy of parenting! Unable to have biological children, we know adoption is the right choice to start our family.

YOUR EXPECTATIONS
We want you to know we are available to you. You may want to know about your child throughout the years. We will communicate with you via letters, phone calls, emails or visits; whatever you feel comfortable with! Please never hesitate to contact us; we are never too busy for an update!

BEST FRIENDS & SOULMATES
Tara was working as a dental hygienist in Northern Minnesota and had a conversation with one of her patients about his single son (he sounded like a real catch!). Tara boldly offered her phone number and said, 'have him call me'. The rest, as they say, is history! After only a few dates, we knew we had found our soulmate and have been married for 5 years. We have one small very affectionate dog named Daunte (yes he was named after our Vikings quarterback at the time, Daunte Culpepper).

ABOUT TARA
Tara will make a WONDERFUL Mom! She is a great communicator and listener. I have seen how loving, caring and nurturing she is with our nieces and nephews that they hate to see her leave. Trustworthy and reliable, she is fun to be around. Did I mention she is an AWESOME cook! Tara is open-minded and always willing to try new things and is an avid reader and enjoys watching movies. She is the most loving, sincere person I know and would make an excellent parent for your child.

ABOUT ROBERT
What I love about Robert is that he is a great listener, unbelievably understanding, thoughtful and sensitive. Hard-working and self-motivated, he is one of the most intelligent people I know. Kids seem to be naturally drawn to Robert, and I enjoy watching him play and interact with children of all ages. I fell in love with his kind, loving and patient demeanor. Being an engineer, he is organized but also is a lot of fun to be around and keeps me laughing. He will be a FANTASTIC Dad!

FAMILY & FRIENDS
Both from Northern Minnesota, we travel up north as much as possible to visit our parents and siblings, as well as our nieces and nephews. We love watching our nieces and nephews figure skating, hockey, baseball, basketball and school plays. We wouldn't miss family events like wedding and anniversary parties, family reunions, first communions, baptisms and birthday parties.

We always spend the holidays with our families. They live close to each other, so we always find time to visit everyone. We know we are fortunate to have this and know that your child will have the love and attention of our extended families. Our families are excited to welcome a child by adoption.

We have a great group of childhood friends and co-workers and enjoy playing with their children; in fact, we occasionally baby-sit for them. Our friends have experience with the adoption process in addition to being adopted themselves; they have been very supportive as we look into adoption and are a great source for information. We are fortunate to have them in our lives.

OUR HOME LIFE
We live in a quiet northern suburb within walking distances of an elementary school, park and a walking path along the Mississippi River. We have a close knit neighborhood. We like attending cultural events, like the theater, and sporting events such as Minnesota Wild hockey games. Our large fenced in backyard is perfect for cookouts, Robert's flower and vegetable gardens and more than enough room for a huge jungle gym.

YOUR CHILD'S EXPECTATIONS
We would encourage creativity as your child grows. Active parental involvement is the key to any child's success; Tara will work only part-time so she can spend more time being a mom. Growing up in Christian families, your child will grow up with a Christian foundation. We hope to learn about your religion and your child's heritage/culture, and would love to pass that on as well.
