Why Adoption?
We have always known that adoption would be the path we follow to grow our family, and we hope that you will be part of that journey. Ron's mother also made an adoption plan for a child many years ago, before adoption was open. He contacted Ron's family and today we all enjoy a great relationship.
Through our experience with Ron's brother, we realized the benefits of an open adoption. We would welcome the chance to get to know you and work together to create a level of openness that you are comfortable with.
About Us
We both come from large families that are extremely excited to welcome a new addition through adoption. While our families live both near and far, there is always something special that gets us together often!
After instantly connecting at work, our relationship grew from friendship into much more over the years. We have been married for 7 years now and both feel strongly that starting out as such good friends really laid a solid foundation for our future.
Ron on Jenn
Jenn, a huge Disney fan, can be fittingly compared to Minnie Mouse. Not the squeaky voice and big hands, but the adorable look and fun, caring attitude. Jenn is extremely nurturing and she also has a wonderful sense of humor. Her ability to teach helps her excel as a corporate member services trainer.
I am very excited to parent with Jenn, a great wife and my best friend; because I know she will be a great mom!
Jenn on Ron
Ron is patient and laid back, as evidenced by his ability to teach me how the game of football works. He doesn't "sweat the small stuff".
Ron is kind, generous and respectful and has a great sense of humor. As an IT manager and techie, everyone seeks his advice. He is my best friend and I cannot wait for him to share these qualities with a son or daughter!
Furry Friends
We have two dogs – Miki and Murphy, who are gentle and great with children. Between naps and walks, they enjoy chasing each other through the trees in our backyard. What a "ruff" life!
 Hobbies
We really enjoy traveling and are game for anything! Some of our favorite trips include time spent up north, Disneyworld, San Francisco and Ft. Myers, Florida (for Twins spring training games). With family and friends on the east coast, we also travel to that area pretty regularly.
Sports also play a role in our lives. We get to several Wild, Vikings and Twins games each season and we look forward to sharing that with a little one.
Ron also loves technology, which explains our collection of computers and gaming systems. He participates in spring/summer/fall kickball leagues and enjoys grilling. Jenn is in two book clubs, enjoys scrapbooking, bowling and baking (which is a great compliment to Ron's cooking).
Our Home
We feel very lucky to have a large suburban Minneapolis home that has allowed us many opportunities to create wonderful memories with family and friends.
It has hosted game nights, movies in the backyard, grill outs, and fire pits, volleyball and evenings of Xbox, Wii, and Play Station events. Time is also spent unwinding on our deck under the starry sky. We have a great backyard with room for a swing set, little football field or baseball diamond, or an ice rink in the winter.
