We have decided adoption was the right option for us because we have an innate desire to love, care for, and raise a child. We have wonderfully close families that would share in this joy and love the child as much as we would. We are fun- loving, respectful, responsible and caring people. It makes no difference to us whether the child we care for and love is our biological or adopted child. We will love him or her with all of our hearts. There are many people who were adopted in our family. Ryan and his sister were adopted at a young age and continue to foster a wonderful relationship with each other and their parents. The child would undoubtedly be our top priority. Ryan says about Tara: Tara is a warm, kind, gentle and giving person. From the moment I met her, I knew there was something special about her. I knew I was going to marry her from the first time I saw her. She has a way of lighting up any room. I love the way she is so enthusiastic about life and how she enjoys every single moment. Tara loves to take pictures and capture life's moments. Tara works part-time in the health care field as an X-ray technician. Tara is an amazing godmother to her best friend's child, Lauren. She loves to see Lauren grow, and fosters a solid relationship with her. Tara is a woman people feel comfortable talking to and confiding in. She is the one who I love coming home to everyday! Tara says about Ryan: Ryan is my best friend and soul mate. He is warm, strong, and always strives to be a better person. He was adopted as an infant from Seoul, Korea into a wonderful family. Ryan never takes anything for granted and makes the best out of every situation. Along with Ryan's genuine love for children, he is exceptional with his 3-year-old nephew, Avery, knowing how to be gentle and loving with him while also setting boundaries. Ryan is warm and caring, full of hugs, yet can be strong and assertive at the same time. Ryan has worked for the government for the last eight years and has really enjoyed it. I could not imagine raising a child with anyone other than him. He can also be a big kid. Ryan loves to take vacations and cannot wait to one day bring our child to Disney World so he can go on all the rides with him/her. Home: We have a safe and wonderful home in Maple Grove, MN and moved here because the school district is one of the highest ranked in the state. There are many parks, community centers, and resources available for children and parents. Our child will have a room of their own full of toys and books to play, learn and grow-up in. We have an adorable Yorkshire Terrier-named Bailey. Bailey loves children and cuddle time. Family: Our parents have instilled strong The cabin is a place of tranquility, a time to be reflective. The time spent at the cabin is an unbelievable time to connect with the earth and teach children the importance of life's simplest pleasures—watching the deer and birds, throwing rocks in the lake, and fishing. Both sets of our parents and extended family are supportive, encouraging and behind us in whatever we do. Tara's mom helps implement children's curriculum and Ryan's mom is a preschool teacher. Lori, Ryan's sister, is a public school teacher. Activities: We enjoy outdoor activities. We enjoy playing tennis, biking, golfing, walking, fishing and boating. When we are not at the cabin, we enjoy long walks through the park near our house almost every night. On weekends, we love to be with friends and family. In the evenings we eat dinner together, and snuggle down to a movie when it rains or is cold. Our nephew, Avery, loves to come over and play imaginatively and create arts and crafts. Vacations are something we like to do at least once a year. We want to continue that tradition with a child as well. We feel it is important to see the world and create a better cultural awareness. We love to play games and read bedtime stories. Grilling outside on warm sunny days is a favorite as well. Ryan's parents love to garden and will show our child all that is beautiful with the earth. They are wonderful storytellers and love to laugh.
