HELLO

We know you must be going through a lot of thoughts and feelings as you decide what is best for your baby. We welcome the opportunity for you to get to know us better. We appreciate that you are reading our letter during this time and considering the love we have to offer.

ADOPTION FOR OUR FAMILY
We are excited to be adopting, after struggling with infertility. This was an easy transition for us as we have many family and friends that have adopted or been adopted themselves. The entire family is thrilled to welcome the first grandchild!

WHO WE ARE
Sean is the creative one in our marriage. He is always coming up with new ideas from how to remodel the kitchen to what gadgets are needed on our boat. Michelle is the implementer, who prioritizes the ideas and puts them into action.

Both of our characteristics are utilized in our careers where Sean is in logistics and Michelle manages software development projects. We are fortunate to have flexible schedules that will enable our child to be the center of our worlds!

SEAN has two brothers who both live in the cities. He plays hockey on a league with one brother and shares a love of old cars with the other. Sean's pride and joy is his 1969 Ford Cobra on which he loves to "tinker". As a volunteer football coach for several years, Sean looks forward to teaching our child about sports.

MICHELLE has one sister who recently moved to California—thank goodness for unlimited cell phone minutes. Her brother is in town and we all get together for dinner, hockey and broomball games. Michelle is an avid knitter, which she inherited from her mother.

FAMILY
Family is very important to both of us. From the first day we met and Michelle heard Sean say "I Love You" to his mother as he hung up the phone, she knew family was a priority for him too. We gather weekly to spend time with our family, whether it is for a birthday, a holiday, to play games or watch sports.

SPORTS
We have a shared passion for sports. Michelle's family has always gotten together to watch and cheer on the U of MN. Sean shares a deep love for the NE Husker football team, and we make an annual trip to Nebraska to visit Sean's family and attend a game. We have Gopher season football and basketball tickets, host a pre and post game tailgating event and take annual trips to see the teams play. It is fun to meet other Gophers fans and see new places.

FUN
In the summer, we spend much of our free time on our boat on Lake Minnetonka with family, friends and our three Labrador Retrievers. The dogs LOVE the water and cruising around on a nice day. On Saturday mornings in the winter, you will often find us at the movie theater. We love to get up and go to the first showings—no lines and no waiting. Afterwards, we try out new and unique restaurants. We also enjoy traveling.

Our favorite trip was to Germany and the Netherlands. It was a bonding experience, as we learned to travel via the train system and communicate in foreign languages. We believe that traveling is a great way to create memories as a family.
