Thank you for taking the time to get to know us better by reading our letter. We believe you are a loving and courageous person for choosing an adoption plan for your child. While we cannot imagine how difficult this decision is for you, we hope that as you get to know us a little better you will be reassured that as adoptive parents we will do everything in our power to encourage, care for, and love your child.

About us
We met in college and have been married for almost nine years. After several years of trying to conceive a child, we have elected to expand our family through adoption. This was an easy decision for us as we have several friends who were adopted into loving families.

We both grew up in homes filled with love and support. Gerry was raised on a farm in Wisconsin, with four brothers and one sister. Tanya grew up in a small town in Minnesota with her sister and brother. Growing up, we were taught the value of education and have already started a college fund for your child!

Time spent together is precious
Spending time outdoors with Hunter, our Cavalier Spaniel, is something we enjoy. Most weekends feel like "mini-vacations" and are spent with family. We have purchased wooded property adjacent to Tanya's parents to enjoy now and after retirement. To continue a family tradition, we vacation each summer at a northern Minnesota cabin where we spend time with Tanya's family fishing, swimming, and playing games. Attending the Minnesota State Fair was a family tradition for Gerry and his family. This meant spending lots of time on Machinery Hill trying out the new tractors and seeing how many corn dogs could be eaten!

We also enjoy traveling to a new destination each year to celebrate our anniversary. Memorable trips include biking historic railroad trails, exploring Disney World, sailing the Caribbean, and climbing the Eiffel Tower.

Our family and friends
With family and friends being an important part of our lives we were very honored when asked to be godparents to our nephew and a friend's daughter. We are fortunate that both of us have family near by which allows us to spend lots of time with our nieces, nephews, and godchildren. We have many great memories of trips to the Children's Museum, Como Zoo, and local community parks.

Tanya is an amateur photographer and loves to scrap book. She is currently creating lifetime albums marking moments in our lives in addition to creating special albums for both godchildren that will be given as gifts at their high school graduation. Gerry is an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoys woodworking and plans to create heirlooms to be passed along to your child.
