Thank you so much for taking the time to read our letter and getting to know us. We respect and admire you for considering adoption, and pray that you will find peace and comfort as you make this important decision. We are Tony and Malinda – the best of friends. We have been happily married for six years and have a three year old son, Matthew, who was conceived by in-vitro fertilization (IVF). Family is all-important to us and we envision more children to love and care for. As a stay-at-home mom, Malinda has found her true passion in parenting. Choosing adoption to expand our family was an easy choice for us. We have several friends and a family member who have adopted, so we have seen first-hand the joy, blessing, and openness that this can bring; and we are very excited about adding to our family this way. Since we had our son, we have found out that IVF is no longer an option for us. Our love for Matthew is amazing, and we want to share that same love and devotion with your child. Our extended families both fully support us adopting, and are thrilled about having another child to love and cherish. Malinda is a very kind and loving wife and mom. She loves being a stay-at-home mom, and is drawn to all children. During get-togethers, she is the first to seek out any babies so she can hold them. I often come home from work to find Malinda and some other moms in the neighborhood gathered on our front porch; and there's Malinda, holding one of the babies! As a wife, she selflessly puts her interests aside as she asks about my day and works hard to ensure our home is warm and inviting. She enjoys playing the piano, cooking, and volunteering in the church nursery. Tony is truly an awesome husband and father! His gentle spirit and genuine concern for others is what first drew me to him. He is kind, dependable, and responsible; and his silly sense of humor always makes me laugh. As a father he is affectionate, patient, and involved – never too busy to play a game of chase, read a book, or play cars and trains with Matthew. He is an engineer and balances work and family life very well. He enjoys playing the guitar, biking, and volunteering as a sound tech at church.
We live in a fun neighborhood where we have bonfires and yearly block parties. Our house sits on the end of a cul-de-sac with a large fenced backyard with plenty of room for a growing family. With 23 children living on our cul-de-sac (and one on the way), there are always children gathered together playing. We want to create memories that our children will cherish. In the summer we enjoy riding bikes to our local DQ for ice cream, and playing games in the yard. We love spending time with both of our families; from frequently meeting those in town for dinner to taking several trips a year to visit Malinda's family in South Carolina. We also like the children's museum, zoos, and train rides. We look forward to the holidays; decorating the house, making cookies, and sipping hot chocolate after playing in the snow. We also find a lot of enjoyment in music, whether from the radio or making our own with the piano and guitar. Our Christian faith is important to us and we love attending church as a family. Our promise to you is to love your child with our whole hearts. From the beginning, we will tell your child the story of their adoption and always remind them of how much you love them! We will provide a home and family where your child will feel loved, safe, secure, and precious. Thank you for getting to know us. We understand that this is a difficult time for you and that your decision is a major one for both you and your child. We are thankful that you chose life for your child, and our prayer for you is peace and wisdom at this important time in your life. Please know that we would feel honored if you chose us to be your child's family. We look forward to hearing from you and would gladly welcome your call.
Blessings to you,
