Our Special Families

At Adoption Minnesota we have many families who would like to have you consider them as adoptive parents for your child. These families have placed letters in our "Dear Birth Parent" book and some of them are posted on this website. Please contact us by calling our toll free Birth Parent number, 1-888-333-2275, so we can find out what you are looking for in an adoptive family. Then we can send you Dear Birth Parent letters from those families who meet your requirements.

Our Families are Approved for Adoption

All of our families are approved for adoption and have completed an adoption homestudy valid under the laws of the State of Minnesota. So you don't have to worry that someone you like might not be able to adopt your child! They are a varied and excited group of families who are longing to add a child to their homes and hearts.

	Joe & Tawnya - They have been together for 14 years, married for 12. They have an 8 year old adopted son named Connor. Joe is a painter. Tawnya is a bridal retailer but will enjoy being a stay at home parent. They enjoy fishing, playing sports and traveling.
	Nancy & John - CHOSEN - Suburban couple, married for nine years. John is a team lead in the computer field. Nancy is a quality specialist. John and Nancy enjoy music and play in a community band. They are avid sports fans for professional teams as well as their nephews' youth leagues. They love to travel and spend time with their friends and family.
	Mike & Christine - Lutheran couple. Mike is a software developer and Christine is a stay-at-home parent and a part time elementary teacher. They have one 10 year old son. They have 2 kittens named Cake & Frosting.
	Lynn - Single, living in non-metro city. Lynn is a certified athletic trainer and physical therapist assistant. She enjoys being outdoors, doing triathlons, running, spending time with family & friends, and scrapbooking.
	Bill & Heather - Suburban couple, married 18 years. Bill is 45 years old, Heather is 41. They have an 8 year old son named Will. They enjoy traveling, gardening, and attending their son's sporting events.
	Lisa & Greg - Suburban married couple, together for over 20 years. Lisa is a self employed software analyst and Greg is a self employed home improvement handyman. They plan to take turns being the stay-at-home parent. They enjoy traveling internationally and domestically, spending time with family and friends, attending cultural events, bicycle riding, and camping.
	Chad & Beth- Suburban, catholic couple, married 10 years. Chad is a lead market president and Beth is a part-time sales & marketing director. They have 2 daughters, Madeline, 7 and Eileen, 5. They enjoy running, biking, family board games, camping with family and friends, and cooking & eating as a family.
	Todd & Laura - Catholic couple, married for 10 years. Todd, 34, works in the public safety field and also as a fire fighter. Laura, 34, is in financial services. They have a 5 year old daughter.
	Lisa & Brian - Rural couple, together 16 years, married for 11 years. They work together in the Geographic Information (computerized mapping) field. They have one adopted son, Alex, 5. They enjoy watching Alex play hockey and t-ball; playing softball, golf & racquetball; camping, fishing, & rollerblading; attending Vikings & Twins games & college hockey games.
	Jacque & Paul - Suburban Catholic couple, Paul is an attorney and Jacque is a stay-at-home parent. They have 2 sons, Patrick, 12, and Aidan, 3½.
	Gerald & Pamela - CHOSEN - Suburban couple. Gerald is a financial analyst & Pamela works in healthcare & clinical research from home. They enjoy volunteering in the community, walking around the lakes, puppy play time, watching Disney movies, playing mini golf and trying all the local ice cream shoppes around town. They have one dog, a Black Lab/Border Collie puppy named Oreo.
	Bruce & Lisa - Urban couple, together for 9 years. Bruce is an environmental scientist and Lisa is a co-founder of a small theater company and a full-time stay-at-home mom. They have one adopted son, Lucas, almost 4 years old.
	Toni & Naomi- Urban couple, together for 9 years and married for 3 years. Toni is an attorney and Naomi works in the financial services field. They enjoy hiking, running, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. They have a Goldendoodle named Rosie who is a certified therapy dog.
	Doug & Sjanna -Suburban couple, Sjanna is an at-home daycare provider and will be a stay-at-home parent. Doug works as an accountant. They enjoy camping, spending time at the lake & spending time with family & friends. They have 2 dogs, Diesel and Leinie.
	Jim & Frances - Suburban couple, married 9 years. Jim is a middle school history teacher and enjoys playing acoustic guitar, coaching baseball, and playing with daughter, Emma. Frances teaches high school Japanese language and enjoys cooking international dishes, vegetable gardening, and swimming. They both enjoy their summers off traveling and being outdoors.
	Mitch & Shawna - Both are 33, and have been married for almost 10 years. Shawna is a special education administrator and Mitch is a software engineer. They enjoy camping, playing games, photography, and spending time with friends & family. They have one adopted son, Anthony, almost 5.
	Pam & Judy - Urban couple, together 8 years, married for 3 years. Judy is an attorney. Pam works as a marketing coordinator. They enjoy hiking, theatre, travel and community service. They have one dog, a Basset Hound and two cats.
	Dave & Brenda - Surburban, Christian couple have been married for 10 years. Dave is a mechanical engineer and enjoys running and Tai Chi. Brenda is an executive assistant and enjoys crafts and baking with daughter Megan, age 5. They spend time together vegetable gardening, camping, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
	Steve & Anne - Surburban Christian Couple. Anne works as a school counselor with her summers off and Steve is a nurse manager. They enjoy traveling, doing new and interesting things,spending time at the lake, theater and spending time with family and friends. They have a dog named Woody.
	Kevin & Sara - Rural couple, married for 11 years. Kevin is a farmer and Sara works part time as a nurse. They have a 3 year old adopted son named Jake. They enjoy tubing, skiing, and snowmobiling, bonfires & outdoor activities, vacation at the lake with friends, family trips to the zoo, parks, & waterparks, couples bowling and watching movies.
	Jerry & Lisa - Christian couple, married for 10 years. Lisa is 30 and is a registered nurse. Jerry is 31 and works as a manager of a bowling alley. They enjoy being around friends & family, playing mini golf, bowling, water parks and traveling. They have 2 dogs, Mickey a golden retriever & Daisy a springer spaniel, & 2 cats Autum and Lily.
	Patrick & Rebecca - Surburban Christian couple, married for 13 years. They enjoy camping, fishing, playing board games & spending time with family and friends. They have one dog named Leila and 2 cats, Boxer and Ali.
	Todd - CHOSEN - Urban single. Todd owns two small businesses and plans to be a stay-at-home Dad. He enjoys showing quarter horses, working out at the gym, camping, biking, cooking and traveling/visiting zoos. He has a two year old horse named Ernie, and 2 miniature Australian Shepherds, Syd and Ella.
	Allison - Suburban Christian single. Allison works in finance and enjoys the outdoors, photography, running, biking, gardening, hanging out with Noah and Max at parks, zoos, beaches and home. She has a 2½ yr old son, Noah and one dog, a Chocolate lab named Max.
	Anne & Nick - Urban couple, married 15 years. Anne is a housing developer and Nick is an environmental professional. They have a 5 year old adopted daughter, Elizabeth. They enjoy travel, art and art projects, architecture and building things, reading and being outside (biking, sledding, swimming).
	Daniel & Suzanne -Catholic couple, married 5 years. Daniels works as a computer programmer, Suzanne is a graduate student and will be a stay-at-home parent. They enjoy biking, camping, gardening, spending time with family, playing guitar, cooking and traveling.
	Nate & Jessica - Christian couple, together 8 years, married 4 years. They live in a non-metro city. Nate is an elementary school teacher and Jessica is an accountant. They enjoy sports, reading, boating and spending time with family & friends.
	Jeanine & Peter - Rural couple, together 7 years. They have a daughter, Sophia, almost 4 yrs. old. They enjoy camping, golf, and trips to the zoo. They also have one dog, a Pug named Pepper.
	Michael & Marno - Suburban/Rural, Catholic couple, married 6 years. Marno is a pediatric occupational therapist and Michael operates a gourmet BBQ sauce company and pet insurance company. Both will be stay-at-home parents. They enjoy hiking, traveling, fishing, spending time with family and friends and having fun. They have one dog, named Annie and a cat, named Bear.
	Kati - Urban single enjoys gardening, reading, watching movies, seeing live performances, taking photographs, and going places with her daughter, family and friends: to the park, the zoo, the rides at the mall, garage sale shopping, on vacation. Kati has a five year old daughter, Lela, who is adopted. She has two cats named Lucy and George.
	Kristin & Gary- Suburban couple, together 4 years, married for 2. Gary works as a director of sales for an oil distribution company and Kristin works for a large electronics retailer in merchandising. They enjoy traveling, the outdoors, going to sporting events & exercising their dog. They have a Yellow lab, Lucky, and a cat, Freddie.
	David & Linda - Suburban couple married for 11 years. David is a creative director. Linda is in marketing. They enjoy boating, skiing, going to art shows, going to the movies, traveling, & spending time with family and friends. They have 2 dogs, Shar-Peis, named Ginseng & Dynamite.
	Tom & Nikki - Suburban couple, married for 12 years. Tom manages their family business and Nikki is an engineer. They have a three year old adopted daughter named Sophia. They enjoy time with family and friends, home remodeling projects, golfing, gardening and trips to the zoo.
	Scott & Debbie - Rural couple, together for 8 years, married for 5 years. Scott, 35 and Debbie, 33, enjoy anything related to the outdoors, especially camping and water activities. They have 3 small dogs, Rex, Annie, and Trouble.
	Tiffany & Mark - Suburban couple, married for 10+ years. They are both 35 and enjoy baseball, travel, boating, reading, and gardening. They have one dog, a Schipperke.
	Elliott & Hayley - Suburban couple, together over 8 years, married 4 years. Elliott, 31 is a service technician and Hayley, 32, works as a buyer in the medical field. They enjoy hiking, skiing, golfing, photography, the family cabin and spending time with their nieces, nephews and close-knit families.
	David & Carla - Suburban Catholic couple married for 4½ years. David works in sales at a large Twin Cities company. Carla is a pharmacist serving the Native American population but plans to be a stay-at-home parent. They enjoy traveling, running, photography, and spending time with friends and family exploring all the opportunities available in the Twin Cities.
	Brad & Julie - Suburban couple together for 8 years, married 5 years. Brad is a project manager and Julie works part time as a speech pathologist. They enjoy domestic & international travel, camping, cooking, movies, laughing and backyard bonfires with friends and family. They have one dog, Ruby, a yellow lab & a cat named Grace.
	Mark & Andrea - Suburban Christian couple together for 7 years, married 6 years. Mark works in finance. Andrea works from home in the publishing field and will be a stay-at-home parent. They enjoy cycling and cooking.
	Kevin & Bobby - Urban couple together for 10 years. Kevin, 37, is a civil engineer and enjoys cycling, hiking, skiing, hockey & volunteering. Bobby, 42, works as a clinical research professional and enjoys reading, running, triathlons & volleyball.
	Keri & Dean - They have been married 8 years. Keri is a marketing manager and Dean is a sales director. They have a 3-year old son, Griffin and enjoy travel, sports, reading and time as a family. They have a dog named Jimmy and a cat named Leo.
	Francine & Jeff - Suburban couple, together 9 years, married 5 years. Jeff is a software engineer & Francine is an IT project manager. They like to backpack and camp, walk their dogs, ride bikes, work out at the gym and hang out with family & friends.
	Shea & Matt - Suburban couple, together 14 years, married 12 years. Matt is a director at a medical device company & Shea works in the pharmaceutical industry. They enjoy exercising, traveling, sports, making jewelry, fixing up old cars and spending time with family. They have one dog, a Collie named Bella.
	Doug & Deanna - Suburban couple, Doug works as a project manager and Deanna is an IT manager. They both plan to share being stay-at-home parents. They enjoy hiking, traveling, home improvement projects and reading.
	Nate & Sara - CHOSEN - Suburban couple, married 12 years. Nate is 35 and works in the packaging field. Sara is 34 and works as a teacher. They enjoy time with family and friends, traveling, fishing, and laughing.
	Eric & Ed - Suburban couple, together 11 years, married 8 years. Eric is a stay-at-home parent. Ed is a manager with Cargill. Eric and Ed have one daughter, Ella, 11 and one son, Wagner who is 7 years old.
	Cheryl & Anne Marie - Urban couple, together 10 years. Cheryl is a child and family therapist, Anne Marie works in the medical field. They enjoy camping, traveling, reading and spending time with friends and family. They have one dog named Eowyn, and three cats, Jack E. Pine, Scout and Lucky.
	Jason & Michelle - Rural Christian couple, together 7 years, married 3 years. Jason works as an engineer, Michelle is an assistant project manager. They have one cat, named Scooter.
	Cindy & Jesse - Christian couple, married 8 years. Cindy is 33 and Jesse is 32 years old. They have one adopted daughter, Addison, almost 4. They enjoy traveling, bike rides, neighborhood BBQ’s, pontoon rides, fishing, golfing, college football, and spontaneous family adventures.
	Dean & Melissa - Suburban Christian couple, together for 10+ years, married for 9. Dean is a software developer and Melissa is an at-home mom. They have a 5 year old daughter, Mia and 2 dogs, Choco and Mousse. They enjoy family dinners at home almost every night, swimming, spending time with family, playing games and spending time outdoors.

	Ron & Jenn - Suburban couple, together for 15 years, married for 7. Ron is an Information Technology manager and enjoys sports and technology. Jenn works as a corporate trainer and enjoys scrapbooking and participating in book clubs. They both enjoy travelling, and spending time with family and friends. They have 2 dogs, Miki and Murphy.
	Ben & Kate - Suburban couple, together for 8 years, married for 4. Ben is a restaurant manager and Kate is a process improvement manager at a health care company. They enjoy running, camping, biking, watching movies, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
	Brad & Tricia - Suburban couple, married for 7 years. Brad is a hospital supply transportation driver and Tricia works as a contract manager in the health care field. They enjoy traveling, gardening, hiking, camping, attending sporting events, horseback riding & spending time with family & friends. They have 2 dogs, Budmin, a minature Schnauzer and Sage, a black Lab.
	Ray & Erin - Suburban couple, together 16 years, married for 10. Ray is a medical IT specialist and Erin works as a cosmetologist. They enjoy volleyball, softball, photography, reading, traveling and spending time with family. They have 2 dogs, Lab mixes, named Luna and Clouseau.
	Rich & Wen - Suburban couple, Wen is a stay-at-home parent. They enjoy music, comedy shows, movies, hockey and baseball games, shopping, walking the dog and trying different restaurants.They have one dog named Bambi.
	Bryan & Josh - CHOSEN - Urban Christian couple, together 7 years. Bryan is a high school choir teacher and Josh is a mental health therapist. They have 2 dogs, a Dachsund named Tina and a Papilion named Oliver.
